Default Ladies and Gentlemen: I bring you the Ford GT

I never thought I would say this, but I would take that Ford over ANY Porsche ever made. Including the Carerra GT. 1'21.9 seconds around the Top Gear test track. Better accelleration and a higher top speed (212mph) than both the Mclaren SLR and the Carerra GT, Working AC, radio, heat, power windows and doors, completely American built, better/more comfortable ride, better fuel economy, and best of all, MSRP is only $140k.

And I know that all of you domestic haters are going to roast me for this, but honestly for a car that is NOT just a thoroughbred race car (Porsche Carerra GT), and being only 1 second away from the Mclaren SLR (2 seconds from the Carerra GT), It is the greatest car ever produced.

Have at it gentlemen.

I guess he's saying you get half a million supercar performance for "only" 140k. It is a bargain for the performance, but so is a Lingenfelter Corvette or Hennessy Viper. Both which would probably out perform the GT. However its rareness on the roads wins it bonus points.

Yes, when you take into account the fact that it has a motor which with only a pulley swap can make upwards of 600whp. The fact that it weighs 3400 lbs, has working ac, a radio from the factory (McIntosh), and actually *gasp* has a working suspension that soaks up bumps in the road and doesnt treat you like a race car all day every day, as well as getting better MPG, and costing 1/3rd of the price, yes. It is a better car. Did i mention that it out accellerates and tops out higher than both cars?

keep in mind that i doubt that any car would get good gas mileage when you're WOT for as long as he was. It only ran out of gas because he was flogging it around the track. Ford's figures are 14mpg city and 21mpg hwy. The GT gets 9mpg city and 17 hwy i think, and the mclaren is worse i believe.
