kinda unusual HID conversion question
Hey all,
my dad drives a toyota sienna (the minivan) and wants HIDs. not to be ultracool and hip, but because he's a professor (VT) and the students walk all over the streets/roads and there are incidents every year of students being hit at night.
i know theres tons of ricer conversion kits on ebay, but how would i go about doing this right for my dad? its not like his car is one that someone is going to make a nice conversion kit specifically for. any advice is appreciated. thanks in advance.

well my girlfriend drives a lexus gs and her HIDs don't use a projector. either way, i want to do this right. any suggestions on brands, methods, etc?
If the lens have a yellow tint, try polishing them with some MAG Wheel Polish. You could also wetsand the lenses with 1500+ grit sand paper and then use clear paint on them so that they won't yellow again. Clean the lenses well with dawn and water before painting though. After that, install some Silverstar light bulbs. The bulbs alone could make a really good difference.
You don't need a projector lense for HIDs. There are cars that don't come with projectors, but have HIDs from the factory; some Lexus and Subaru models come to mind. It is not the projector lense alone that gives them the good beam pattern.
