I just bought a 06' acura rsx, I was going to purchase the 1.5" lowering kit ( springs and shocks ) through acura but they said they wouldn't install them because they only fit on the "typeS" -- So to hell with the warranty, I need some advice on what kind of coilovers/springs & shocks to get. This car is a daily driver, I want a semi smooth ride with zero sway. Give me some suggestions if you would.

I also need to get a system for my car, I was wondering if I could just keep the stock speakers and deck and just get like two 12"s in the back if it would sound good like that. -- Anywase, I need an Acura RSX expert that wouldn't mind helping a newb out.

Just wondering...but why didn't you get the Type S?

 

because i dont like the way the front dash is, with the non typeS its old school style where you can replace the deck and or add something else below it, with the typeS its just one big built in deck with a hazard light button in the middle making it almost impossible to replace the current audio system

 

So you like looks more than speed I take it? Man there are shit tons of brands of coilover setups for your car. Do some searchin around. I'm sure TEIN makes an awesome set.

 

The base rsx and type-s suspension systems are the same...

 

the top brands for rsx is mugen ss, tein ss, buddyclub. since you want 1.5" drop i think the mugen suspension would be best. costs 1 grand though.

 

Yea if you're gonna do it, save up and do it right. This way you don't sacrifice ride quality for a good look. Make it look AND ride good.

 

Still confused why you went with the base model...could of just done a dash swap or wired some things up differently to the stock head unit...but umm ok.

yea thats crazy to me that you opted for the base over type s, i mean 50 hp and an extra gear is a big difference because of a dash

 

well i chose base because i didn't want to set it up for racing - although the typeS rims are way more nasty then the base rims

so im looking for a full tein setup - shocks,(springs/coilovers),camberkit,sway kit, alignment,etc

know of any shops that will do all of thagt for a good price? and any recomendation on a certain tein setup and where to get it at? all your help is appreciated.
