Jeep GC SRT8
So im sure some of you have seen the new Jeep SRT8 commercial. Here are some spec and pictures.
Powered by a 6.1-liter HEMI producing 415 horsepower (85 more horses and 25 percent more power than the 5.7-liter HEMI-equipped 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee) and 410 lb.-ft. of torque, the all-new 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8’s performance numbers include 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds, 0-100-0 mph in the low 19-second range, and 60-0 mph braking distance of approximately 125 feet.
Full-time four-wheel drive
6.1L Hemi
0-60 under 5 seconds
Dana 44 rear differential upgraded with a larger ring gear within a new axle housing.
85 more horsepower over the Jeep Grand Cherokee's 5.7-liter HEMI
Compression ratio was also increased to 10.3:1 from 9.6:1
2.75" full exhaust
360 x 32mm vented rotors up front, with 350 x 28mm vented rotors in the rear
To me GM came out a little quicker with the new trailblazer, which looks almost exact from the outside. But I think Jeep will overcome GM. Both are fairly priced in the same range, so we'll see the outcome down the road.

Re: Jeep GC SRT8
I like the trailblazer ss better. I love the fact that the SS is completley stripped of it's moldings. It looks too mean.
Plus, my neighbor still doesn't have their GC back. I think it's been about 3 or 4 months.

that thing is hot. honestly i am not into the truck and suv craze, but they are really doing some amazing things with these huge heavy vehicles. now we all know that this is going to kill the gass though.
I also thought that ford was redesigning the explorer sporttrack. I read somthing the other day about it taking the lightning's spot. i like the compatition!
