Isuzu Axiom
My cousin's pretty close to buying one. Has anyone ever rode(?) in one? Or know someone that owns one? Comments?
Thanks.
It looks just like the one in this pic but the engine is 230hp...
2002 with 31k
Very clean, good condition
Leather, PW, PL, PS, Power Seats, etc. Pretty much loaded.
17390 is what the dealer was asking and they got down to 15800 today.
Thanks.

Not to put Isuzu down, but they are in some serious trouble. They discontinued the Rodeo and the Axiom after this year. Their only vehicle is the rebadged Trailblazer clone (Ascender). I would be suprised if they are still around in the next 3 years.
Their engines are pretty solid, enough HP, but resale is way down. Expect to take a major loss if he ever decides to sell.
If he's still serious, pick up a used one that's only 1 year old or less. Let the first owner take the initial loss.

The 250hp one in the pic is the 2005. The one he just bought yesterday was a 2002, and he got it for 15,800 w/a 4 year warranty. The price brand new is around 26,000... So it already took that big initial loss in value. Did anyone ever see the Vehicross? I bet Isuzu lost money making that... only had it out for 1 year.
I've been wheelin with a couple Vehi-cross and they are awesome off road. The torque on demand takes over & it climbs hills with no wheelspin. It also has stock remote oil filled shocks and the 3.5L V-6.
There's a guy out west who auto-crossed his on BFG A/T tires & placed 3rd overall.
Only down-side is if you ever get into an accident, they pretty much total it out because of the limited production & cost of replacement panels due to the ceramic die stamping process.
