A friend just pointed me to this site the other day as another good enthusiast community in the area. I'd like to say hello and post a little about myself:

I'm Tom Freeman, I live in Rockville, MD. I've been a car guy all my life, from Matchbox cars to the real thing. I'm a systems engineer for a small telecommunications company in Reston, but I work from my home 90% of the time. I'm originally from North Carolina, but my wife and I moved to MD in 2004. I haven't been very active in the car scene since I've been here for a variety of reasons. I'm looking to get a little more active in '11.

I've been autocrossing since 1998, been doing track events since 2002, and I've been doing a couple of LeMons/ChumpCar races a year since 2008. I had the good fortune to be on a winning LeMons team in the spring of '09.

- '08 Acura TSX (wife's ride, occasional autoxr)
- '00 BMW 323i wagon (selling to a friend shortly)
- '04 MB C320 wagon (new arrival..yes, I like wagons)
- '94 Ford Probe GT (currently for sale)
- '86 BMW 325e (24 hrs of LeMons car)
- '82 BMW 528e (LeMons car build in progress)

I've had the fast, the slow, the good handlers, and understeering pigs. As I've gotten older, I've developed a bit of a thing for BMWs, but I'm definitely not a full-on bimmer douche. I have an appreciation for just about everything.

I have a decent 2 car garage, decent tools...but my skills with a wrench are a bit lacking. I still keep trying, though
