Not hard to do. Stack might be a little expensive for a street car though. There are a lot of options other than Autometer out there. I know the Stack ST400 tach is about $550, the rest of the smaller gauges aren't as much, but still not worth it for the street.

They're racing gauges, made by one of the best race display and datalogging companies in the world. They're also expensive. The answer is that they aren't better than most for a street car, because it really doesn't matter. For racing though, when you want accuracy and complete reliability, they're very nice. They also make very nice center console compliments to the multi-thousand dollar Stack gauge clusters.

I have the stepper motor analogue boost and wideband in my Type R. They look great but to be honest I haven't even driven the car since I put them in so I don't know how well they do But coming from STACK I know they're great. The stepper motor ones are expensive as hell though but they make lower end standard mechanical and electric ones too.
