I was going about 80mph in a 55zone, up a hill than the second i was going down the hill my radar dect JUMPS to 5 (being closest) and i slam my brakes and go by a damn cop chilling in the middle of the highway. I was like FUCK and unplugged my radar dect and put in under my passenger seat than I watch my rear view mirror. The cops pulled out im like SHIIIIT and i slow down to like 50 than, he pulls me and said I was going 71 in a 55 but I was all nice and stuff so he gave me a ticket that saids 69 in a 55 aint wreckless driving only 14 over.

Court date Dec 30th, I hope I can fight it. He didnt have his parking lights on (shouldnt he have them on?)

 

he dont need to....if he lasered you then i doubt you will beat it in court....besides he cut you a break...he could have been a dick and tagged you for reckless...be glad he didnt

if you bring up the parking lights thing you will only piss off the judge, you got about the best you could in this case

 

Yeah...he didn't do you any favors...71 in a 55 is only 16 over the speed limit. You have to be going 20 over for it to be wreckless.

 

i don't think they do....i've seen plenty of cops without them on

 

actually he did make a difference.....about $10 difference...remember now its $5 per mile over the limit

 

so its like a $70 fine?

 

pretty much....its like $5 for every mile you go over the limit
