The only time It hink hood pins are neccesary are for FG or CF race only hoods. They're the ones that don't have much for bracing save for maybe two crossmembers, and that's it. I'm going to be putting 4 corner hood pins on my 93 and remove most of the bracing to save some more weight. I also want it to be easily removed because the hood hinges in a way that it's hard to do any motor work with the hood on.

well I have hood pins on my ride but that's just cause I got the hood from a friend and he already had them on it.
