supposedly. back in the day, they had the "S" models, which were supposed to be sporty but were carburated. They also had cars like the "LXi", the i symbolizing fuel injection. So it's pretty apparent that the Si stands for something like "Sport model with fuel injection," but Honda has never released an advertisement or any other kind of literature that comes out and says "this is what Si stands for." Honda has never really been hard and fast about their character designations... not like BMW, where you could pretty much bet good money that a 444XCi would be 4.4L 4-series convertable with AWD and fuel injection, "LX, EX, DX, Si, Si-R, etc" all seem to get thrown around willy-nilly. I.E., in canada, the Si = our EX, and the Si-R = our Si. whatever sells cars, i guess.
