im new to the whole honda thing, and i just wanted to see if this new motor is worth me buying. im getting a d16z6 motor with a ported and polished head and a gude cam. its a 92-95 civic Si motor and comes with everything for the swap except the tranny i believe for $700. is it a good deal?

 

for everything but the tranny, i'd say 700 is a decent deal....

buy it then buy a tranny from us..i got 2 dx and d16z6 tranny...dx has long gears

what has the world come to, people paying for "built" single cam motors? i'd rather have an LS motor over a single cam motor and i am not a fan of LS motors. D series motors have toothpicks for rods. spend a little more and get a B series motor.

 

agreed with nutsack, save a little more and get a b series you will like it a lot more then the d series, trust me

 

I'd say its worth it but definately plan on getting an Si/EX Tranny unless you're plannin on boosting it.
