all the o3 spec v's are fine though, they went back to a quicker seating ring. Other problems, the paint is trash there are a lot of complaints about that, the transmission is really rough, there is a really sensitive knock sensor that retards timing, therefore u lose power if it senses any vibration... ie header/intake/ stuff like that.
yeah these are all small things, but you don't expect this many problems in a new car. search around www.b15sentra.net/ there are so many people selling their 02 spec v's not to mention the resale value blows. my car had 12k on it , and the most any dealer woudl give me trade in is about 10,400.
if your interested in getting one though, its not a bad car just be warned you will get hated on by everyone else in the import world for some reason. stock spec v's have ran 15.0 stock... and one or two that i can think of off hand have hit 14.5 with i/h/e so i guess that gives you an idea of where it is speed wise. They do have an ecu & cams for it on the way, so maybe they can push the car to lower 14's who knows.

main reason for the s2k is probably clutches. that is the only down fall of the car. weak clutch, especailly for people who push the car to the max, or for the people that dont know how to drive a sports car.

Actually the S2000s have had quite a few little problems. Clutches are one. A few people were having problems burning up the number 4 cylinder. The windshields crack easy. The stereos suck. They tweak axles over time. They spin easy. The seatbelts get stuck sometimes. There's more too....can't think of 'em. Aside from axles I haven't had any problems with mine though (the axles were my fault, 8000 rpm clutch dumps at the track)....and I'm a little rough on mine. I drive it how it's supposed to be driven. But, mine was properly broken in properly and I take very good care of it. I tend to think of it as a little mini-me Ferrari. Sure it has it's quirks...and it's no Camry when it comes to reliability but, when everything is working the way it's supposed too I don't think it's possible to have more fun in a car for under $100Gs. And fun to drive is something that can't be put into numbers. Yes you can go faster for less money. But I've driven all the competition.....and I'm buying another S2000....'nuff said.
