The current tires are Nitto 555's and while they have held up well, I want something a little quieter and a little softer as far as ride comfort.

Near the end of their life, the Pole Positions on my HREs were really loud. Just a little FYI. They gripped like a mofo though in the wet and dry.

Less than $120 a tire. Made to stay quiet. 300 treadwear rating (with longer-wearing blocks on the inside for camber junkies). This is probably the perfect all-rounder for a semi-performance, semi-luxury car.

As everyone knows, I'm fond of the GS-D3s, but as Cory said, those particular sizes have a bad reputation. The wider sizes are run by numerous people within the domestic crowd without a complaint.

The S4 had a set for a bit. They aren't super-sticky but the trade-offs are well worth it.

I had the Falken fk451's.... wasn't really impressed with them... They seemed to chunk a lot more.. than i thought they should. The tire wear was not very good either. They seemed to be ok grip wise... when they were new... but half way ... they seemed very slippery.
I know it's a different tire... but same overall design and company.
