Default Help pick a truck for my dad

I really don't know much about trucks but my dad is looking to get a new truck, he has a 2000 Dodge Ram that my parents just paid off and is looking to get a new truck.

I am really pulling for the SRT-10 but that is a little out of his range

So it is down to the Dodge Ram rumble bee and the F-150 Ford lightning

Hopefully some of you guys can share some pros and cons of the vehicles

^^omfg... the closest I've seen to that was a f-350 with semi tires on it. but i'd say that beats it.

and the lightning def. there's a lightning w/ just a pulley kit that's damn near as fast as my bike from a stop. ok, it's not all that fast but alot faster than the dodge. edit: plus it's supercharged
