i don't think it's really much of a gamble... legalzoom.com or whatever may help you find a bill of sale template, do a little research on it, get his signature on there for what you bought it for, mileage, and a set date for when he has to have the title to you by and you should be fine. i think the dmv may even let you register it with a valid bill of sale... i'm not an expert but i'm sure shit like this goes down every day.

as long as you have the bike, and you give him the cash you both agreed on, documented through a signed bill of sale, there's not much he can do but skip the country or some shit.

i can't believe no one else on here has any personal input... i think your title is throwing people off.

haha maybe ppl think i need some money to help buy my bike going by the title...

Anyway thanks for all your input. I am going to look for a good bill of sale template. Only thing that sucks is the helmet and jacket and shit are included so I am going to have to pay taxes on the full amount of the bike.

I guess it really doesnt matter what the bill of sale states at price as long as we both sign it he has agreed to sell it to me for that much legally.

I just bought a bike the other day. And I searched hard for a free bill of sale. You can get a good one through Microsoft Word using their template. Then I would write in all the clauses you need. Like I will pay X amount for the bike under these conditions. And just make sure you say EVERYTHING. And I would get it notarized just incase, it never hurts. Good luck.

ps I had to ask, is this gixxer ur first bike?

so hsbc/suzuki will only release the title to the original owner.

This sucks because i will have the bike and the bill of sale but cant ride it until 2-3 weeks when the mail me the title then i finally get to go to dmv
