Default Head Work

Is $450 a good price for port and polish with a valve job on a 99 Miata head?

Thank You

hughes is one of the best in the business...expensive but they know what they are doing. 450 for a port + polish seems about right if no other head work performed. My challenger is a '70 I'm getting the engine rebuilt at Holland Road Auto Tech right now. I also have a '73 duster with a new 360 in it. PM me sometime if you wanna go for a ride or need any help/parts.

hughes is a mopar specialty shop...awesome work but i doubt they are experts on import heads...I was going to order a cam from them but went with the mopar shaft instead.

put the engine in today starting it this week at some point w/open headers. The only problem we had is its hittin the crimp on the trans tunnel on the drivers side but it will be ok.
