I work over at Don Comer Ford in P-town on Tuesdays and Thursdays (I'm an adjuster for GEICO). Well the body shop manager Gerorge is really into cars (he has a lincoln Mark VIII that runs high 12's and a Superformance Shelby Cobra Replics!) His buddy has a Marauder that is souped up by Kenney Brown. It has a Vortech with a custom aftercooler setup, flowmasters, full suspension, rims, 14" Baer big brake kit. It also has 4.10 gears and a 3000 stall. Last Friday at VMP they ran a 12.38 @112 in a 4300 lb car.

Anyway I got to go for a ride today and it was super fast. Was too wet to really get on it but George pedaled it and spunt the tires from 0-50 and held it spinning at 50 for a while. The car is a sweet sleeper and is very quiet for all the power.

damn, did it really feel THAT much faster than your car? its running about the same times... Oh well, still sounds like an absolutely sick sleeper.

 

yeah i saw that car at the track...pretty sick. and that 12.3 was on street tires (non-drag radial)

 

DAMN, so basically he has a 4300lb, 11sec car... and i like how they look too, that is just sick.(street tires really dont count)

 

I never said it felt faster than my car... just super fast. Odd feeling to be accelerating that quickly in a big ass cushy car.

That 12.3 run was on drag radials not street tires. It won't hook and run those kinds of times on street tires.

 

Kenny Brown = God of Ford land yachts...

 

He also makes some of the best handling mustangs around. His suspension kits are supposedly the best there is.
