currently converting to cable throttle using an audi 1.8t aeb throttle body and a 2.0L mk4 peddle cluster.
then you can actually get an EMS to work with the 1.8t.
i love how people think everything is plug and play...
if dick knew half of what he was talking about he would have never said anything about plug and play.

I would recommend a simple atp custom kit. Steve (1.8t3to4e) would be a good person to get with to piece a kit together. Do you want to run a FMIC inititially or are you going to keep your side mount? You can save $800 or so by running the stock manifold in the mean time. Mike, you definetly need to check out the 1.8t forum on vwvortex. There is a ton of information there.

If you mean the k04 is a direct bolt on to your manifold, yes. If you have the ko3s then its not much of an upgrade. If you have the pre-02 k03 then it might be a nice upgrade if you are just looking for a bit more boost.

lol sure thing...
so your telling me that this DTA EMS will control my fuel just like autronic, SDS, TecIII, Haltech or any other SEM? how about timing?
i just find that hard to believe...
do you understand how pointless it would be to run that type of system with an electronic DBW throttle body? the damn thing closes to 5% when your map see more than its requested boost.
ill give them a call first thing in the morning.
ill report back with what i find.
Dick! lol

There isn't a whole lot of difference between the ko3s and the standard ko3. I still wouldn't upgrade to a ko4.
