I used to own one (91 #997 of 2000). They are nice cars, very fast out of the box, BUT parts are expensive. Every part was made specifically for the car and are NOT interchangeable with other Galants.
Example: radiator - $800 ($400 for an aftermarket replacement)
alternator was model specific also due to the electronics on board. Mine went out & Brown's swore they had a rebuilt replacement. It was for a turbo Galant, NOT the VR-4 and burnt out after 2 months.
Watch for alignment issues (4 wheel steering) and any sign of burning oil.
