G35????
I am pretty sure they use most of the suspension for the coupe and the Z.
I've got a '05 G35x that I bought new and use as a daily driver (37k miles now). I haven't had to replace anything on the car yet (including tires) or had any warranty issues; only work done is normal maintenance schedule stuff. As for tires being expensive...what size/kind of tires do you guys normally buy?? I think the performance and R-compound tires for my ZTT (275's) are expensive; the tiny G35 sedan size tires are pretty cheap in comparison. You guys must be used to buying 15" 215's or something? Also, parts are more than a normal Nissan, but way cheaper than VW parts (Touareg) for example. Guess it's all relative.

It's a issue with the stock dampers and the tires.
If you get the tires replaced or change the suspension you wont have any issues.
I have never heard of the G35's having the same issue since their alignment and springs/struts are different.
Sorry to come in late here. Nissan made an attempt to rectify the premature tire wear issue by issuing a TSB to change the alignment specs I believe? The problem was most prevalent on '03 & '04 models (350Z). I hadn't heard of issues on the G35, but we didn't have many of them come through the dealer I worked for (I worked sales, not service, BTW).
I also found this website, didn't dig deep, but glanced at it. Maybe it will help?

At any rate, I can tell you I would steer clear of the 03-04 G or Z just because they did have a few issues, (which were remedied by campaign bulletins, or TSB's for the most part) but may sour your experience with the car if it visits the shop too many times.
