i would encourage people who want to paint there car to use other flats, black is played out, Flat white would be badass and flat silver has been done VERY successfully As long as its clean it will look good. Cars with faded paint usually have it in patches, which makes it look bad.

in my opinion flatblack on anything other then a classic car looks like its been primered and that theyre too cheap to get real paint.

wet sand the car w/320grit sandpaper, use duplicolor bumper/trim coating...it dries to a low gloss finish that is smooth but not flat, do one panel @ a time

i used those rough sponge things to rough up the paint on mine. easy to use, doesnt gouge and is quick.
