Default Ferrari is on FIRE!!! Quite literally.

So I've been following the smoke for a while now.
Basically the new Italia is well on it's way to being the rarest car on earth.
Besides seeing a new 458 wreck every day, they're also going up in flames every time I turn around.

Here's a collection of articles and pictures and such about the whole ordeal.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/11071047

The owners of more than a thousand Ferrari supercars have been told to return them for repairs because they might catch fire. The company says a faulty glue was used on the 458 Italia that can overheat like this one in California.

Jalopnik.

this is crazy. i wonder how their brand will be affected by this- the 458 is supposed to be all that is wonderful about ferrari.

so like, how did these people figure out the car was on fire, by looking in their rearview and seeing flames? scary shit...

pretty much. note to self: if purchasing a ferrari, splurge on flame retardant race suit.

Yep, can't think of a hotter way to die or a hotter car to do it in.
