Default DMV(motorcycle) question

I have a motorcycle learners permit and I'm about to get the MSF class this coming spring. My question is if I pass the MSF class, do I still need to to take the road course test that the DMV gives or they just give me a license??

That's all you need then they will give you your license... I took my test at DMV just for shits and giggles and actually passed it with my cbr 600... But I still want to take the class to lower my insurance (I think)...
