thats the time i was shooting for but i was spinning in 3rd gear at like 50% throttle, i dont know about you guys but the first 60 ft of the track looked really shiny like there wasnt any sticky stuff on the track,maybe it just builds up during the season and by the end of the year you can hook up really well cause the 3 inches of sticky goo, oh well, im trying to go to richmond on sunday cause its gonna be warm, but its the girls birthday weekend so dont know if that wil happen or not.........

 

Actually it doesn't matter if it is the end or beginning of the season. It depends on temperature. if it is cold, and they don't prep the track that good, yes you will get that mirror look as you look down the track. When it warms up so will the track and all that burnt rubber will make the track sticky. It all depends on how good they prep the track and what the temperature is.

 

 

Yeah i was there last night to support my sociology teacher. he had a silver grand prix GTP. Had some alloy 20 inch wheels. ran a 15.7 against a ford torus in T/T and had a r/t of 1.6. no track prep at all. oh yeah and a big system in the back. thought it was pretty good he had a CAI from trasher supposedly a pully and a chip. but i don't think he does. i dunno if he ran again later that night. my friends were all complaining so we left.

 

An 03 cobra broke a halfshaft.. would have never seen that coming.... lol... mmff said they put the car through hell and didnt break them.. how many miles did this guy have on the car? I have busted the 6 cv joint bolts twice with just a four cylinder.. but never a half shaft.. damn

 

yea when i saw that '03 cobra break down i shed a tear for that guy heh. i dont think drag racing is covered in your warranty

 

I'm glad my car wasn't fixed or I would've run it just to see how slow it was and run a 20.
