Default Cutoff switch for Track?

I was told that if I relocate my battery I need a cutoff switch to run at the track. Just wondering if anyone knew whether or not it has to be in plain site or can it be under the rear fender or soemthing.

to meet tech, it must be plainly visble and readily accessable. most people do it near the liscense plate.

*edit* but i think its only if you run faster then a certain time.

If you move the battery to the back of the car, it is required to have a cut off switch.
