Default CRX hood help

My obd1 b16 in my crx won't let me close the hood. Something about this motor being taller than an obd 0. Where is a good place to get an aftermarket hood(cheap) and which style would give me the most clearance? Or maybe someone out there has one for sale?

i really dont think its the motor...i dont think the "obd1" b16 is taller? it's probably your aftermarket mounts....try cutting the inner webbing off of the hood

i have the hasport mounts...the new billet ones. I can't lower it down more because the bolts aren't long enough to put washers on. I think i read something about these mounts place the motor in a postion that is optimal for the angle of the axels. How much of the skeleton needs to be cut? i can't really tell where its hitting it seems like most of the valve cover is touching.

Another problem is the distributor....i can't find an obd 0 one anywhere. Any suggestions?

Same setup for me bro. Mine can close though, but the hood hits the valve cover where the cam gears are located. The only time i had problems closing the hood was when i replaced my radiator and it wasnt perfectly aligned.

Yeah, the hood is hitting on the cam gear side front corner of the valve cover. It's should barely be hitting. If it's a concern just get a JDM SiR hood or carbon fibre copy. You should be fine just cutting some skeleton off though.

buy sum washers and longer bolts for the hood hinge and jack the hood up in the back next to the windshield. you might have to use hood pins in the front because of the angle. Ive seen it done before plus it will let the hot air out from underneath the hood. but cuttin all the webbin out from under the hood works 2 like burn said
