Clutch finally went out
so i was driving today when my clutch went from stiff to soft as shit. so i limp the car home. by the way i had to do 40 on the highways all the way home(about 15 miles). so i came home and bought a exedy oem replacement clutch and a findanza 7.5 pound flywheel. all of this for only 300 bucks.

Enjoy the new clutch. You'll still have to fix what's actually wrong though. You should have pedal pressure no matter how worn the clutch disc is, because the pressure plate springs are still there.. It would slip, but you'd still have pedal pressure. You'd definitely know if that was the problem. So you've got another problem, like a broken or really sticky clutch cable (your car has a cable clutch I assume because of its age), a broken throwout fork/lever or something like that.
Anyway, I don't think a new clutch is going to fix it. Not a bad thing to replace while you're in there though.
