Default Civic Si's (Which do you prefer?)

Hi, any help on this topic would be much appreciated.

I am debating buying either a 2000 Si or a 2005 Si, and am asking for any input on ANYTHING about them. I figured there would be a few people on here that owned them. I don't really care for the look of the 2005, but am just wondering about pros/cons about either. Thanks a lot.

What do you want in the car?

I prefer the 99-00 Si but thats because I love these cars period.

I like the minivan looking Si's too, but I can't afford one(no credit) and I don't have the money for one at the moment. They are rather kinda ugly stock, and it takes a good lip kit and some nice wheels for me to like them.

Good think with the newer Si is that it has a k-series in it already. A head swap away and you have a pretty quick little car.

What do you plan to do with the car?

I agree with Jarrod. This falls all within personal preference. I would only drive a 99-00 Si, or the 4-door. Like he said it all depends on what your goals/preference is.

I agree with other's on here about the 99 to 00 model SI's.. They look a lot nicer to me in my opinion, the newer one's look a little weird, but they have more HP out the box.. So I guess it's just a matter of personal preference...

Every Civic after 2000 has crap suspension. You can put a K into a '99-'00. You can't put double wishbones into an '01+.
