by the way, if you can see through your hood, it's got fiberglass in it. It's glass, and clear resin. If it was more than one layer of carbon, you wouldn't be able to see through it. Fiberglass in clear resin with no gelcoat is translucent, even in really thick sections. Carbon is very opaque. Unless it's a lightweight weave.
So your hood is mostly fiberglass.
But as long as it looks good, it doesn't matter. It's just a hood, not a structural body part.

lol but I thought it was just a single layer of carbon fiber with a light resin layer on top, it's not like any other cf hood ive seen. Oh well it's like 3 ounces and it looks good so its cool. Thanks for the info though.
