Default Car Detailing

What do you guys recommend for detailing the inside of your car? I want to try something else besides armorall because I think it dulls my interior. The dashboard and door panels are vinyl and plastic.
And does anyone know how to make the plastic/rubber trim on the car black again? I got some wax on it before and now my black pieces have some white faded spots on it.
