Re: Build the accord?
Just giving him hope...
Who would have thought that almost 20yrs ago 4cyl. cars would do 7sec 1/4 miles? Daily driven 10-11sec honda's are a dime a dozen. Swap in the f20b or h22/23 (turbo) and that car has potential. They make tons of suspension stuff for that year accord.
Here is a "street" version
I always loved that year of accord the best 94-95 was my favorite.

Re: Build the accord?
Negative
I had a "built up" Accord and loved it. My problem was it was also my daily driver and was starting to age. For a track car it'd be a blast.

Mine:
- H22A swapped
- Koni Yellows/GC's
- TE37's
- NSX calipers/wagon rotors (1" larger)/Earl's SS lines
- Progress rear sway (22mm I think?) the largest made for Accords
- Cusco f/r strut bars
- poly bushings in the front
- forbidden short shifter
- chipped p28
etc
You can build one for fairly cheap and even less if you do the work yourself. I can safely say it'd be cheaper than anything suggested above haha

Re: Build the accord?
They're only 110k
Even the parts are wicked cheap... I mean for a track car that's what you want right?
You can get a new clutch for 3,000, very cheap for a track car.

Re: Build the accord?
Drop the Accord. Go for something you'll truly enjoy in the long run, something that'll retain some of its value (just in case you need to sell later on down the line).

Re: Build the accord?
Yes, because all gutted and track-prepped cars retain their value
Starting with a car that's paid off already and won't break the bank if it breaks isn't a smart idea? Please.
