It's got the TT inline 6 from the 3-series in it. I think that engine won engine of the year or something like that. That engine probably costs as much as your Scion.
I think it's worth it, the whole car is a lightweight 3-series clone, so the price is about right IMO. It really sounds like the driving dynamics are right in line with the price also, I think this car will be the next compact superhero.

It's priced just right for the target market. They could've actually made it more expensive since spoiled high school girls can talk their daddies into buying them no matter the cost.

edit: I guess you're partially right. An ex-girlfriend of mine is on the list for one as soon as they arrive.

You know, the best part of this car is that it's already been around in Europe for a while, so it's not a new car with unknown quality and unknown performance potential. It's kind of like the WRX when it finally came here, the aftermarket support was already in place and it was already tried and true. I'd much rather buy a proven car than a first run production model.

Awesome car, awesome powerplant... However, I like the looks of the 335 better so I'd take one of those and pop on a Vishnu piggyback.

Thats a sweet car, here is some shots in black. I noticed a crap load of red 135i's rather then any other color.
