blown piston
Well, i ordered the H22a of jdm site. I know some people who have done H22 swaps before in accords. So they are gonna do it for me. One question, should i put my F22b1 transmission on the H22 because i hear the gear ratio is better?

"i blew a piston on my f22, got a 94, because i reved up to 10,000 rpms lol."
it does rev to 10,000. I have the msd ignition kit with rev limiter with a 10000 rpm chip in it. I can definately take it to 10,000 lol. I have an auto meter tach that goes to 10000"
I have a jdm chip in my ecu that's take out the rev limiter, and lowers my vtec setting. It also tells the computer not to cut off the fuel so i have no speed govenor also. If anyone wants to by this chip, tell me cause i no longer need it."

I gotta admit, revving the F-series (USDM) that high is the worst thing I have EVER heard of. Get a B-series or at least an F20b if you want that sort of redline...just so happens I have an F20b lying around here...9K every time.

I did the swap on my accord. My best i ever pulled in it was a 13.80 with a 2.4 60ft. Not bad. But to answer your question....Hell NO! do not use the accord tranny when you swap out. The gearing is a lot longer. I mean, i guess you could if you would like to see mid 15's all day long haha. Maybe if you had a h22 in a hatch, id say go for the accord tranny due to the car itself being so light. Anyway, go check out some times of the f22 trannies on the accordclub.com forum. You will see that the h22 tranny is the way to go.
