Re: BG Synchro shift or Penzoil Synchro Mesh
Personally, I've never run the Penzoil Syncromesh. From what I've seen Penoil oil do to motors, I tend to steer away from any of their products and I know other's that do the same. Too much additives that gunk up internals and the oil breaks down quickly. I would like to see a tranny taken apart that has run it for a while, but until then, I'll stick with what I know.
I've heard everyone from importants, domestics, cars, trucks that run the GM stuff and they all like it. Yes, it's pricey, but treating a car right isn't cheap. Redline and Amsoil is good stuff too, I just feel like the people that sell Amsoil are like the Amway people or something.
Are you sure you should be putting friction modifier in your tranny? You might want to do a little more research in that matter.

I ran royal purple syncromesh in my 3800 fiero. Most people will swear by it. It has properties to save your bronze syncro's and give you quicker shifts. Considering most cars go they're entire life without getting the trans fluid changed, I would go ahead and do it.

Friction modified is only for clutch-type LSD trannys, isn't it?
I've been using Amsoil in all my cars, works great.. Slick like butter.
Gets a little thick sometimes at sub-freezing temps here in CO, but I guess anything would.
