better gas mileage with acetone?
Anytime ethanol is brought up it get's my gear turning again...
I keep thinking about building a somewhat daily driver turbo honda. Built engine, stand alone EMS, and tune it to run on E85. It's readily available, relatively cheap, and very high octane for pump gas. Thoughts?

All my engine management development this spring and summer with our 13.5:1 comp setup will be with E85, you can't beat 105 octane pump gas.
i think mythbusters proved that 99.9% of all gas is burned so, even "additves" would only add like a .1% increase. i remember seeing something on it when they did a bunch of testing, they even tested the "turbanator"
It's about $0.75-0.80/lb in drum quantity, which is about $5/gallon. Recycled acetone is less.
Regardless, a few ounces per tank of gas is still really cheap.

It's easy to do, all you need is correctly sized injectors, seals that you know are ethanol safe, and you're set. However, an E85 tune won't work on pump gas, so you're stuck with E85.
