I personally like the 5th gen, however the 4th's are a hair lighter and I have seen some sharp looking 4th gens.

Which one looks better to you, and which interior do you like more? And would you rather pay 10k or 6k.

Thats about as different as it gets

I grew to hate the 4th gen spaceship interior..

5th gens are only nice looking in a few colors. White and the 2 silvers

Performance wise I would say the 5th is a little better but the 4th can easily be upgraded for less than the difference in cost, You may want to have a look on ebay to get an idea what kind of $$$ you will have to spend to get either one.

How does the 5th have more performance when the 4th weighs less?

That extra 5 or so hp isn't a very big addition.

If you really want a fast Prelude, buy a 4th gen S/SI for 2-4k, swap in a 4th gen h22a (5th is open block) and turbo it.

I always planned to turbo my h23, but got sick of having to go 2mph over speedbumps and ruining the paint.

I actually dont like them in black.. It completely hides the body lines, makes the car look like every other boring car out on the road.

The silvers show the lines REALLY well. That nordic myst / crystal metallic (if thats even a paint on them) is amazing looking with some 18" silver rims.

I wasn't talking about just the motor I was also thinking along the lines of suspension. The 5ths DEFINETLY handle better then the 4ths. Plus I think they also have more sound deadening in them making them a quieter ride.

i don't know much about Preludes, but it sounds like the 4th gen is the way to go. You will pay less and have money for modifications. Just my opinion. Both are very sexy. Although i crossed over and went RWD with nissan i still love HONDA.
