Are silverstars king ding-a-ling of non-hid bulbs? Anything else out there better? I do want the white/blue color versus standard bulbs.

I loved my silverstars before i got my HIDs.

I mean they are only 40 bucks and walmart takes anything back if anything happens to them.

i have the silverstars ultras there 10 bucks more and there brighter than the silverstars it depends if that justifies spending the 10 extra bucks

In my experience Silverstars are better than Silverstar ultras. The ultras are indeed brighter, but in my experience (2 sets of ultras and 3 or more of the regular silverstars) the ultras only last about 1/2 as long before burning out.


Another good option is PIAA. They make hyper white bulbs that are almost as good as the ultras, but thy ar pricey and harer to find.

i got a set of piaa's if you wanna try them out they came off my old del sol. they have the blue/white mixed look.

Oh shit. I forgot I had PIAAs in my Durango, haha. I honestly couldn't tell a difference between those and Silverstars. You're only gonna get so much out of a non-HID buld anyways, so I wouldn't spend the extra money.
