Default b-16/18/20 or h22

i just bought a 94 civic hatch shell.
need some advice on which motor to go with . i always liked the big h(had two h23s but never a h22) but thinking about tring a b motor. i know parts are easier to come by but i never drove one is it relieabe. i know the specs and it will weigh less than a h22. i live in the f!!!!!g boon docks so i drive alot of windy roads and long strait shots my ave. speed is 60 mph. this info might help for the application also what a about realiable boost on h and b

whatever. As long as it is a B. just get as much displacement as you can afford....

2.2L would be ideal. Nothing less than 1.8L

If you have enough money, get a K

K series anyone?
heavy, but FAAAAAASST

I have a B18C (OBD-I SIR-G) love it, very reliable very strong.

An H22 will hurt handling from what I've heard.
B20 requires some building to be a performer.

B16 head, b20 block, boosted or with some high compression would bread a killer.

i have a GSR motor in my civic and i like it, its pretty quick, nothing extreme. ive heard both good and bad things about them all just weight the pros and cons of each and pick the application that best suits you

k20 lighter then B18.

b20 requires no more building than a B18

If you can't afford a K20, get the biggest B series you can afford.

Don't fuck with a H22.

if you want to drive twisty i wouldnt get a h22, they do affect handling in ways not to suited for the curvies. b series will please you.

h22's are some tricky sons of bitches. not TO boost friendly either.

My cousins H22 coupe handles fine. So does my next door neighbors h22 civic.

Nothing wrong with a b16, if you plan to do a bottom end swap or a turbo setup. NA they suck.

If your not to good with your hands, then just get a gs-r swap. Drop it in and boom.
