Seriously, I don't know about the latest gen VW cars, but the stuff out a couple years ago was junk. The cars were FAR behind the times. VW just dressed them up with a nice looking interior to make them appear modern. There is absolutely no excuse for some of the issues I had with my Audi and I'm sure my GTI would have been no different if I had kept it.
haha nah Alot of the stuff has been worked out on the new generations. Ive been trying to stay in the loop when it comes to euro cars. After all it is my job.

From what I've seen, VW actually did this latest generation right. I'm hoping that as a couple years go by, they'll prove that they're good cars again. I don't have enough experiance with the latest ones to pass judgement. However, on the A4 (B4 chassis right?) that the OP is talking about, I think it's a bad idea. There are more cars out there that are more reliable platforms. However, you won't find a better looking car in that catagory.

Yea I agree 100% man.

VW is kinda known for putting nice features on their cars to make them more appealing to customers in hopes that they will over look some of the problems.

consider buying the new passat, its all valued for money. VWs are known for electrical problems so I expect Audis do too. Get the newer audis tho, older audis could be more pricey to fix.

oops didnt see you were willing to spend only 10k. Ehh. Well good luck finding a good audi deal. <3

I have an 06 A4 2.0 Quatro 6 speed and I love it! 200 HP and 207 Ft. LBS Tourque. Plenty of ass whenever I need it. Buy Certified pre-owned from dealer. The warranty gets extended to 100k. Roadside service and all dealer maint. till 50k. I bought from Audi of Alexandria and was treated great. Just don't close the deal at 5pm on a friday. 5 hours back to RIC sucked.

I don't believe he'll be able to pick up a 2.0t equipped car for $10k or less.
