Default Anyone using a air intake temperature sensor?

I want to put one in line between the S/C and the TB so I could see the temps, anyone have any idea where I can get one?
Thanks

I'd like to see a digital one....cheeper. This thing only has to read intake air temps nothing crazy. Why is this so hard to find?

It isn't that easy of a thing to do, because the moving airflow interferes with the temp reading. You have to have a shrouded sensor, etc., and even then it's a little tricky to take a good reading I'm told.. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of stock IAT sensors you can use off of different cars though..

Funny you say that, I am parting out an 87 Turbo coupe right now. What part are you talking about and can it give a temp reading?

Thanks

LT1s use intake air temp sensors too, but i dont know how you could get a digital readout of it. i know there are plenty of industrial thermometers that you could probably port to what you need, but itd kinda hard to get an accurate readout i would think.

Most likely they are just a voltage output sensor, so you could probably use anything that can measure a voltage, like a digital-display voltmeter. There are ways to make it display the scale that you want too, it's probably nothing you want to mess with without a very solid electronics background though..
