Default anyone heard anything about this bov: Synapse Synchronic

thinking about putting this bov on my SRT-4 because i absolutely hate the Greddy Type S on there now...

they are said to have won the 2007 SEMA "Best New Product Award"

the retail video:

installed on an srt-4:

sounds amazing... anyone have one? or heard of them or had any experience with them before?

i like it because it has interchangable flanges so i do not have to get another upper pressure pipe / flange...

I've read the ads and wondered about them myself. They supposedly release the air very quickly but that video of the Neon would seem to contradict that. Unless that kid is an idiot and adjusted it all wrong just so it would sound like shit. Which is entirely likely.

I installed one on a customers S2000, So far so good. I haven't heard anything bad. If it trully does work the way it claims, it is a gift from the turbo gods!!!!

Since you are a smart guy, care to quickly break down what it does, and its benefits? I dont feel like reading BS reviews online.

Ok lets not bash the "Smart Guy" I did the install and the tuner did the rest. All I can tell you is it had two different diameter seats and two springs. It had instructions that were clear and easy to read. You had a choice of three vacume ports that were set up to adjust boost levels up or down. What seemed like the advantage was it didn't wait to dump exhaust pressure untill you were at max boost. It opened earlier and with predictability to maintain the correct boost level. My tuner didn't give me any negative feedback either, so I would have expected it to have worked perfectl. Cause he would have b*@ched if it hadn't. Now also we were running up to 30 lbs of boost and were critical of everything with the new build and tune. So once again I will say no bad news from the tuner tells me it must work well!

Sure, those seem tunable and all that, but I don't really see an earth shattering performance gain from that. It should work as well as any other BOV that's worth a shit. This is one of those instances that if you have something that works, using something better doesn't net anything. I appreciate the engineering that they've put into these, but I don't see the benefit yet. I like things that are adjustable, but what else can it do that any other decent BOV can't?

Maybe I'm just skeptical.. I'll start believing the SRT-4 fanboys when I see these on WRC cars or something that is more than a just a collection of hyped up bolt on parts. You know, cars with parts that are picked because they really work, not because they have a JDM name or a big street tuner following. If these are being used on rally cars or something like that, I'd like to see. And if/when that happens, I'll gladly acknowledge that they're worth using instead of something else.

Everytime a new BOV comes out, it's all over the place instantly. I'm not sure why. As long as it works, who the fuck cares how it sounds and how shiny and porn-like it is?

I do like how relatively quiet they are though, that's a bonus.

I wasnt trying to bash, you seem like a smart guy, i.e. hydrogen/oxygen thread, so I asked your opinion instead of reading random reviews online.
