My wife drives an 06 Accord. We bought it when our family grew by one. Originally, we were looking at Audi, BMW, and Benz. After dealing with expensive repairs on a VW TDi, (same as Audi), we decided to go with a Honda or Toyota. I hate working on a daily driver. The car was just out of warranty too. If I had an Audi, it would be a car to be driven to around 50 or 60,000 miles then sold or traded in.

As far as the Accord, it is exactly what I thought it was. A boring four cylinder sedan that is boring to drive but never needs attention. It doesn't make near the mileage my VW TDI makes, but I am not worried about it leaving my wife stranded like the VW did.

+1 for the Accord for me. Great reliability, great resale, low maintenance. Look how many are in the classifieds out there with well over 200K on the clock.

I cannot speak for the Hyundai. Did not consider one. Accords are made in Marysville, Ohio and I have friends and family that work there. No idea if Hyundai has a plant here in the states??
