Anyone have experience with the Hyundai Sonata's Or 04-up accord?
I'm looking for a new daily for work. I'm really starting to like the '06-up Sonata's. Good price, good warrenty, nice options available.
However i love accords, i have a 1990 right now that is doing my daily duties and its pretty industructable, im just looking to treat my self.
My situation:
I drive 30k-35k miles a year for work, 85% of that is freeway. Must be a 4cyl version of either car, i dont need speed i have toys. I'm thinking i want a 5 speed, for the more reliable transmission, and better mpg.
Does anyone have any first hand experience with the newer sonata's? They've gotten really good reviews, infact on edmunds in 2006, the sonata beat out the camry, accord...and one other overall.
One thing that kills the sonata is resale value, but i really dont care cause im probably buying used to begin with. If you have any other suggestions feel free to chime in.
I dont want anything thats expensive to maintain as i drive A LOT. I've also looked at the newer civics, but prefer the mid sized car's as i carry stuff for work. Not to mention if i want to go out with a bunch of friends, hard to pack in a civic.
Anyway, any opinions are appreciated good or bad.

Audi A4 2.0T gets up to 35mpg w/ the auto and 37 with the manual, average highway rating is 30 and 32 I mean just sayin'
We have an '05 2.0 T w/ the CVT for $23,xxx, and a few '04s for less, CPO too. Not sure what your price range is though.

how about the new Camrys? Ive seen a couple of Sonatas come in lately and they dont look bad at all, both interior and exterior wise.
But Toyota is coming out of the wood shops, their new Highlander hybrid is averaging 30mpg which is swell for a suv(has room like your looking for)

few pics of the 2009, which has a nicer interior then the 06-08's i think..
I'd get an accord before i'd get a camry.
Brian, price range is flexible. I however want something reliable, unsure of the warrentys on the audi's but i'd assume i'd be past cover in only 2 years with as much as a drive for work.

4 years 50k when new with extended plans available, and CPO cars are 6 years 100k from in service date. Cars get their first oil change at 5k, then 10k after that w/ syn oil. No crazy maintenance.

i drove a 07 sonata v6 model its pretty good, it plus pretty hard, nice torque and good options. The 4 cylinders will do fine since you don't need power and all. Lots of room . It received good ratings and awards. the car i recommend would be the toyota yaris, that car is awesome. Gf has one its amazing
