My bike was stolen, and I'm beginning the painful process of selling my e36, so now I'm considering my next car. I've pretty much narrowed it down to 4 final choices.

a bmw cpo 08 335i with 8k miles. on the pricey side (37k), but it's a virtually new car at a severe discount. plus, the cpo warranty lasts 6 years/100,000 miles... pretty enticing

2005 audi s4. awesome car to drive, plus easily the most practical. just not the best looking, although seeing one in person made it grow on me. i could get a good example of one for 21k.

2005 m3 comp package. in my favorite color of all time (interlagos blue), but the only one i can find is 6k more than the audi (27k) and it's a smg! never drove one but i don't think i can stand the concept of not having a manual.

2010 camaro. drove one, loved it, but didn't really like how you feel like you're in an abrams tank. plus, the absolute most expensive option on my list, msrp would be around 36-38k plus all the dealer nonsense, and they probably wouldn't move on the price. interest rate might offset it though... probably my least likely option, but it is kind of tempting still.

andy. i say camaro. they are just gorgeous. its NEW. decent warantee, etc...

not that the other cars are inferior, i just think camaro > that list.

i voted 335, but is it an E90 or E92? That makes a difference.

I say 335 + JB3 2.0/Procede v4 + catback.

Make decent power and have a ton of refinement.

The M3 would be sweet if it was a true 6-speed.... the last thing I want is a racey BMW w/ a complicated transmission out or warranty. The 335s are very nice cars and can make nice power, but I really prefer them in convertible. Blah on the Audi unless it's a newer one w/ the V8, but even then it's a bit blah.

I'd go w/ the new Camaro.... TVS and longtubes and you're at 570 rwhp and it all fits under the stock hood. Lower it and some nice wheels to get away from the bulky look of the car. Plus (if you don't mod it) you've got a 5 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

EDIT: For the money you're considering spending on a new Camaro you can get a C6Z06... the 2007s and up have a 5 year 100k powertrain warranty.

C6 Z06 has a very large rear hatch... perfect to stow children until the teenage years.
