I was under the impression Honda isn't making much of a profit off the S2000 either.

Both were sort of, "what can we do cars". S2000 was the 50th anniversary car, and the NSX was the "We can do more than build F1 cars or econo-boxes".

Honda did really well in the 80s with F1, during that time period there weren't many great cars built. After the NSX there was an explosion of exotics.

And the NSX is NOT Japan's most expensive exotic.

Assuming we're talking about the US market (since we live in the US).... what was/is more expensive?

Busted
Perhaps I should have removed some of my previous posts before you started to read back and see everything I've said.

As a Honda lover I only dream of one day owning an NSX - that's why I'm such a huge NSX dick rider. I tell myself things like... it's underpowered, overpriced, and outdated to make myself feel better about never being able to buy one, nor drive one.

Honda lost money on every single ITR produced. And there were 3380ish of them sold in the US, and more in Canada, Europe and Japan, over a 6 year period.

Honda is not afraid to lose money on a car.

... or wait. Did I just so happen to bring up the three complaints that you argued 3 days prior to you even seeing this thread?

You can't use the driving skills of Chumptech owners as a gauge.
