Accord Owners, your wisdom is needed
Friend of mine owns a 99 lx. CEL recently popped up. Told him to get it scanned and it came back with 3 things.
forgot the actual code, but it said specifically
-auxillary emissions
-manufacturer transmission malfunction?
-another transmission code.
sounds pretty serious. Anyone have any experiences like those?
what'd you do?
feels like its time to bust out the check book for a tranny and cat.

Is it a V6?
I think the only CEL problem I ever had with my 99 EX coupe V6 was the EGR Valve needed to be replaced. The first place I took it to was Williams Honda in Hampton, The charged me 70 bucks to look at it and basically said it was my Injen short-ram intake that was causing the problems.
Then I took it to Casey, Found that it was a bad EGR valve and replaced it. Instead of giving me a load of shit about my Intake.
So kudos to Casey Honda for that.

98-02 accords have terrible transmissions. Especially the v6. I would expect the worst. The trans during those years were complete pieces of shit.

Im pretty sure it was the exact same transmission only honda extended the warranty for 00-02 so people thought those were the only bad years.
