You aren't running either. The tuning software just makes a file that the ECU uses. Your ECU doesn't "run" Neptune or Crome or anything like that. It's all just file editing software. The answer is that they both work fine for pretty much everything you could want to do, and the better software is whatever the tuner is more comfortable using (or paying for, if you haven't used either).
