Default 93-95rx-7 or 95-98240sx

sup, looking to pick up a cruiser/road racer, pretty much a car that will take names at the track/ac course by day and be a mad nice date car by night. im not made of money so im putting this project on a 20k-25k budjet over the next year or so. i can pick up a good fd r1 for like 15k or i can pick up a clean s14 and do the whole s15 front end conversion, redtop and decent coilovers for about the same price. my power goal of 300-350whp should be more than enough for a 2800 lb car and is pretty easy to get with these engines. both cars have their strengths and weeknesses so the question is which would you chose? or if not either one what would recommend? oh im not much of a fan of the s2k, not really into the whole convertable thing. thanks in advance!
