you know what... you 100% right actually. I never thought of it that way really till you mention that. Even in the '60's the whole idea of the GTO was a wolf in sheeps clothing. Guess that still holds true today. You guys bring up some very good and valid points, I'm just bitter on the whole thing to be honest.

I prefer Ford... yes, but I loved the f-bodies. I'd have both my MACh1 and a SS or WS6 if I had the money.

here's another point you may not be thinking about... maybe some of the people responsible for designing the "all-american" gto's and gnx's are just as narrowminded and ignorant as you and your buddy spic. and we all know that ignorance=lack of knowing=no intelligence, so it all gets back to YOU, the "average american", who just fails to put out a decent performance automobile and so is forced to look overseas. just one more way to look at it.

the way i see it, it's a buyer's market for sports cars these days. a little more than 5 years ago, all you had for a performance market on these shores was f-bodies and mustangs, with the occasional yuppie vette thrown in. granted i was slightly disappointed with the gto's "grand-amesque" looks but in the end it's a great car. i'm looking forward to the return of the camaro but you have to admit, they were just flatout boring. it's not like the f-body performance has diminished with these "newfangled foreign pos's", so what's your problem? pride? i think that's a sociological issue that's best discussed in a classroom and not on a board full of snot-nosed 18-year old punks that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.
