05 RSX-S is the Type R!?!
Hondata found out that the cams spec on the 05 RSX-S is the exact spec as the JDM ITR.
A Quote from Hondata:
"It is therefore our assumption that the cams in the 05 RSX are the Japanese ITR cams. which have the same lift but more duration than the PRB cams"
http://www.hondata.com/dynok20-05rsx.html
And according to the source from ClubRSX.COM the 05' RSX-S Spec has:
210hp
143ft lbs tq.
Type R Final Drive, Lowered by 8.6 percent.
Single cone carbon synchronizers
Revised shifter bushings and spring
Type R Intake camshaft (valve lift increased 5 degrees)
Type R Exhaust camshaft (valve lift increase 10 degrees)
Intake Duct Increased 11 percent from 63mm to 70mm
Type R Exhaust (Larger diameter tail pipe from 60.5mm to 70mm)
Redesign Higher Flow Catalytic Converter (Exhaust flow increased from 95 liters per sec, to 98 liters per sec.
This could could be the USDM Version of the Type R, but they don't want to put the wheels, spoiler, & the "R" Badge on.
